PNO10 Conference Regulations
1. General provisions
1.1. These Regulations define the rights and obligations of Conference Participants, hereinafter referred to as the Regulations.
1.2. The organizer of the Conference is the Department of Plant Physiology of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (ul. Nowoursynowska 159, 02-787, Warsaw), hereinafter referred to as the Organizer.
1.3. The conference takes place at the date, place and form indicated by the Organizer.
1.4. Participants of the Conference may be people dealing with the subject of reactive nitrogen forms in living organisms, with an emphasis on plants, or other people professionally related to the indicated subject of the Conference and representatives of sponsors, hereinafter referred to as Participants.
1.4.1. Applications from scientists affiliated to institutions from the Russian Federation will not be accepted.
1.5. The Conference may include scientific and didactic sessions and speeches by representatives of sponsors. The detailed conference schedule is available on the website.
1.6. Each Participant taking part in the Conference will receive a certificate of participation in the Conference.2. Registration of participation in the Conference
2.1. In order to participate in the Conference, the participant is obliged to register on the website provided by the Organizer.
2.2. The conditions for participation in the Conference are:
2.2.1. Application for participation in the Conference by completing the application form available on the Conference Website.
2.3. The deadline for submitting an application for participation in the Conference via the Conference Website is the date specified by the Organizer.
2.4. The Organizer is not responsible for the Participant providing incorrect or false data when registering for the Conference.
2.5. Sending a registration application posted on the Conference website constitutes acceptance of the provisions of these Regulations, as well as compliance with legal regulations and any other arrangements made between the Participant and the Organizer.3. Application of a participant giving a presentation
3.1. After registering the willingness to deliver their own presentation during a scientific and didactic session, participants must be previously qualified by the Conference Scientific Committee.
3.2. The Participant reports his or her willingness to give a presentation during a scientific and didactic session to the Conference Scientific Committee at the address provided by the Organizer no later than 30 days before the start date of the Conference.
3.3. The rules for qualifying presentations by the Conference Scientific Committee are specified on the Conference Website.
3.4. The theses and views expressed by the Participants are the views of the Participant presenting them and the Organizer is not responsible for their form or substantive content.
3.5. Participants may not express theses or views inciting hatred or discrimination against any person on racial, cultural, ethnic, religious, philosophical or gender grounds. Moreover, it is unacceptable to propagate ideology and symbolism related to totalitarian regimes.4. Fees
4.1. Information on the fees for participation in the Conference is available on the Conference Website.5. Resignation from participation in the Conference
5.1. The Participant may resign from participation in the Conference within 14 days from the date of booking participation, but no later than the start date of the Conference.6. Complaints
6.1. All complaints of Conference Participants against the Organizer should be submitted in writing to the Organizer’s e-mail address.
6.2. Complaints from Conference Participants may be submitted no later than within 3 days from the end of the Conference.
6.3. After the above-mentioned deadline, no complaints will be considered.7. Personal data
Pursuant to Art. 13 of the general regulation on the protection of personal data of April 27, 2016, Journal Device UE L 119 of May 4, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the „Regulation”), we inform that:
7.1. The administrator of your personal data (hereinafter referred to as the „Administrator”) is the Organizer.
7.2. As the Administrator, we are responsible for using your personal data in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable regulations.
7.3. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, refusal to provide data that prevents registration may result in refusal to participate in the Conference.8. Final provisions
8.1. The conference is closed and does not constitute a mass event within the meaning of the Act of March 23, 2009 on the safety of mass events (Journal of Laws 2009, No. 62, item 504).
8.2. In matters not regulated by these Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.
8.3. These Regulations enter into force on the day of their publication on the Conference Website.
8.4. The Organizer has the right to change the provisions of the Regulations. The changes come into force within 7 days from the date of their publication on the Conference Website. However, in relation to services in progress, the version of the regulations applicable at the time of making the reservation by the Participant applies.
8.5. The provisions of these Regulations constitute an integral part of the Application for participation in the Conference and apply to all Participants.
Contest for the best PhD student presentation regulations
- Acceptability
Only PhD students are eligible to participate in this contest. - Submission Process
PhD students must submit their presentation proposals to the organizing committee. The scientific committee will review all submissions and select the top 10 presentations that will be showcased during the conference and participate in the competition. - Presentation Duration and Format
- Each presentation must not exceed 10 minutes.
- Presentations must cover the following essential sections:
a.Introduction
b. Materials and Methods
c. Results
d. Conclusion/Discussion - The visual aspects of the presentation will be evaluated. Presenters are encouraged to create clear and professional slides based on powerpoint templates provided by organiser.
- The following criteria will be used to assess each presentation:
- Visual Aspects: clarity and professionalism of the slides.
- Adherence to Time: whether the speaker stays within the 10-minute time limit.
- Content: the speaker provides all essential information in a clear and concise manner (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion).
- Answering Questions: ability to respond effectively to questions from the audience or jury.
- Presentation Skills: the appropriateness of the presenter’s delivery, including clarity, engagement, and overall communication style.
- Prize
The winner of the contest will receive a €300 voucher for antibodies provided by Agrisera, the sponsor of this competition. - Additional Rules
- The scientific committee reserves the right to disqualify any presentation that does not meet the submission guidelines or is deemed inappropriate for the contest.
- The decision of the jury is final and cannot be contested.

- Acceptability
